Wepre Park
Near The Beaches Hotel and Spa
Wepre Park is 160 acres of green space, nestled in the heart of Connahs Quay and just a 40 minute drive from The Beaches Hotel and Spa.
Wepre Park
Wepre Park is a unique setting with its various habitats and geology. Features include, Old Hall Gardens, Brook and Waterfall, acres of beautiful woodland walks and Ewloe Castle all for the public to explore. They have the best free children’s playground in the region, two football pitches, a well-managed fishing pool and Visitor Centre to help you enjoy your visit. The car park is free of charge, with a kids play area, skate park and a café at the start of the trail. The trail is a 40 minute woodland walk, generally considered an easy trail, ending at a castle hidden in the forest called Ewloe Castle, also free to enter and walk around. This is a very popular area for birding, hiking and running, so you will likely encounter other people while exploring. This is a great place for a short walk or to relax with family and friends. There are plenty of picnic tables along the walk, with grassy areas at the castle to stop for a break too before heading back down the trail to the café. There is also a kept garden area, with a pond. For families with younger children just be aware that there are no barriers at the side of the pathways, just a drop down into the stream that runs alongside the walk, so take extra care.
