Talacre Beach
Near The Beaches Hotel and Spa
Boasting miles of golden sands, Talacre Beach sits just across from the River Dee with views stretching over to the Wirral.
Seaside Fun at Talacre Beach
The most prominent feature at Talacre is most definitely the Point of Ayr Lighthouse. Dating back to 1776, the lighthouse was decommissioned in 1884 but remains an impressive presence which towers 18 meters above the sand. Talacre is also home to numerous species of wildlife and also the rare Natterjack Toads within the Gronant Dunes.
There are numerous shops and eateries around the beach and just a 10 minute drive from The Beaches Hotel and Spa. You could spend the whole day there with the family, grab that bucket and spade and get digging! You could get some fish and chips from one of the chip shops or why not take your own picnic.
There is ample parking available (chargeable – rates vary) and there are some stunning walks in and around Talacre – perfect for dog walking. For keen walkers, Talacre village and beach can also be accessed via Gronant Dunes and takes roughly one hour.
