Only approximately an hour and 15 minute drive from The Beaches Hotel and Spa, Anglesey – “Ynys Mon” will transport you to beaches that will resemble those in the Mediterranean! With its sparkly blue crystal clear waters and golden sandy beaches, the stunning scenery will take your breath away.

There are also a number of attractions on this beautiful island, from Beaumaris Castle which was the last castle built under Edward I to Lligwy Beach which has 6 Blue Flags to Anglesey Sea Zoo – “Sw Mor Mon” which is a wonderful aquarium. Anglesey is also home to the the village which boast the longest place name in the UK and one of the largest in the world! So, here goes…
“Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch” – Translated, this means “The Church of St Mary Llanfair of the pool of the white hazels near the fierce whirlpool and the church of St tysilio of the red cave” – Phew. If you can’t quite manage all that, you can simply say “Llanfair PG”.
