Walks with your dog in Prestatyn
Prestatyn to Rhyl Promenade
Take in the breath-taking views of the stunning North Wales Coast on this beautiful walk along the Promenade, just outside The Beaches Hotel and Spa. The length of the walk depends on you, with approximately 5 miles to reach Rhyl. However, for the more adventurous, you can walk all the way to the newly structured Pont y Draig Harbour Bridge which is beautifully lit up in the evening.
Marine Lake, Rhyl
Watch the miniature steam train doing its rounds while at the Marine Lake in Rhyl. The walk itself around the lake is approximately a mile. Why not see how many laps you can do! The lake is a 10-minute drive from The Beaches Hotel and Spa however, for those without transport can always hop on the bus with their pooches (same goes for the other walks where there is a drive too).
Talacre Beach
The beautiful Talacre Beach is a 10-minute drive from The Beaches Hotel and Spa. Standing proud on the sandy beach is the Point of Ayr Lighthouse which dates back to 1776. This truly is a must visit when in the area.
Native Woodland and Farmland, Ffynnongroyw
For all you adventurous walkers, this walk is one for you. Owned by the Woodland Trust, the walk will take around 2 hours for the short walk or 3 hours for the long one. You will be guided through leafy forests with winding streams and farmyard animals. There is also free parking nearby. The start of this walk is around a 15 minute drive from The Beaches Hotel and Spa.
Rhuddlan to Rhyl River Walk
You will start this walk at the bridge adjacent to the historical Rhuddlan Castle which was built by King Edward I in 1277. The walk is well signposted and extremely picturesque. If you are feeling energetic enough, it will take you to Marine Lake which is mentioned above.
